It’s also incredibly slow (this book feels more like a build-up with very little romance and a bit of steam/spice), but Aran’s inner monologues always brought tears or laughter. I was so excited for Aran’s story and I wasn’t disappointed! In my opinion, her story is even a lot darker than Sadie’s, but I think it fits with her backstory. As a note, you should definitely read the first three books of the Cruel Shifterverse to understand the characters, cameos, and dynamics.
